And we're off! We were delayed leaving because a pedestrian was killed by another train in Goleta. So sad, another person on the tracks with ear phones on.
After getting lunch served in our roomette, Norm promptly set up the upper bunk for a nap-ha ha. The last several times we've traveled we had a bedroom which has its own bathroom and shower. This time we have a roomette which is maybe one third the size. Pretty tight quarters but it's only 30 hours so we can live with it.
A pleasant surprise! After 3 years they've changed the menu! Food is still good and we are still amazed.
